1. Purpose

This tutorial is to help you experience modeling philosophy of midas CIM through PSC
Box bridge example. Take a step toward the Bridge Information Modeling process and
learn
how parametric modeling works.

Initial Set-up
1. Change Unit

1. Find unit tab on the bottom of the screen


2. Change unit to kips and ft

2. Define materials
 : Check button to 1. Base Tab > Material
execute function and 2. Material Type: Concrete, Name: Grade C6000, check on Use DB, Standard: ASTM,
close the input window. DB list: Grade C6000, click
3. Material Type: Steel, Name: Grade 60, check off Use DB, input numbers manually,
 : Apply button to

continue to define
additional inputs. 1

exit out of the window
without executing
