Electrical and magnetic properties
Thickness 0.5 and 0.65 mm
Maximum specific losses of 8 W/kg measured at 1.5T flux density, 50Hz frequency. Normal distribution
Specific total iron loss
of specific loss should be given by standard deviation of 0.33 W/kg or smaller.
Magnetic field intensities of 2.5, 5 and 10 A/mm should result in magnetic flux densities no smaller than
Magnetic flux density
1.62, 1.72 and 1.84 T respectively.
Both sides of sheet steel to be coated. Coating must possess an electrical resistance greater than
Sheet insulation coating 10 Ohms/cm2 per side and be able to withstand continuous temperatures as high as 180 deg C.
Coating should not be damaged by the stamping and welding processes.

Residual curvature: Less than 25mm. Between 25 and 35mm CGT will require a concession from the supplier.
Material should be capable of being processed through lamination punching, notching on progression tools, welding and other manufacturing
processes. We reserve a right to return material which doesn’t go through our process satisfactorily. After three unsuccessful trials CGT will offer
the supplier an opportunity to witness the fault, if requested.
