TALK ABOUT THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF FAST FOOD ON CHILDREN’S HEALTH

- Consumption (noun): the act of using energy, food or materials

E.g. He was advised to reduce his alcohol consumption.

- Obesity (noun): the quality or fact of being very fat, in a way that is not healthy

E.g. Obesity can raise the risk of heart disease.

- Contain (something) (verb): if something contains something else, it has that


thing inside it or as a part of it

E.g. This drink doesn't contain any alcohol.

- Calorie (noun): a unit for measuring how much energy food will produce

E.g. A fried egg contains about 100 calories.

- Increase (verb): to become or to make something greater in amount, number,


or value, etc.

E.g. The population has increased from 1.2 million to 1.8 million.

- Fill someone up (phrasal verb): to become completely full, to make someone


completely full

E.g. That sandwich really fills me up.
