The buyer agrees to provide proper care and housing for puppy/dog purchased from Pottle’s Ark Canines. If seller gets proof that any dog purchased form Pottle’s Ark Canines is abused or neglected, seller reserves the right to repossess said puppy/dog with no monies refunded to the purchaser. Proper care and housing includes: • Providing veterinary care and routine yearly checkups • Proper vaccination schedule as recommended by breeder and/or veterinarian. • When outside, dogs will be provided with proper shelter, food, water, and exercise. • Puppy/dog microchips must be registered with AKC or another microchip registry and proof sent to breeder within 1 month of receiving the puppy/dog. If the dog is found to be neglected, abused, abandoned, sold, given away, or taken to a shelter or rescue, a suit will be filed for breach of contract for the amount of $2500.
Inability to keep dog
Buyer MUST NOT take the puppy/dog to shelter, re-home, sell, or give away for any reason. If at any time the buyer cannot keep the puppy/dog, the seller will take the puppy back. No monies will be refunded and all paperwork associated must be signed back over to Pottle’s Ark Canines owner, Danielle Pottle.
Registration & Registered Name
All dogs and puppies will come with AKC, UKC, or CKC registration. Some may be registered with 2 or all 3 registries. All puppies must be registered by 6 months of age and must carry the Pottle’s Ark name in their registration name unless otherwise agreed upon. Example: Pottle’s Ark Mad King. All dogs/puppies sold with limited registration will come with limited AKC paperwork (if available) and no paper work from UKC and NO breeding rights. Certified proof of spay/neuter must be sent to breeder, Danielle Pottle, by 3 months after the puppy/dogs 2nd birthday or 2 months after purchase of animals over 2 years old. Failure to send proof of spay/neuter is grounds for the animal to be repossessed.
Health Guarantee All dogs sold by Pottle’s Ark will be free of communicable diseases and seen by our veterinarian. All dogs will come with age appropriate shots, dewormed, and records will be provided. We always suggest continuing deworming because stress may cause any dormant worms to come out and they can pick them up anywhere. All dogs sold by Pottle’s Ark are guaranteed for 1 year from purchase date for hereditary defects. One of the remedies outlined by Maine State Law will be provided. However, purchaser must understand that due to expenses of keeping our own animals, if refunds are requested, this may take time. If a replacement puppy/dog is requested, it will be provided from our next available litter. We must be notified of any diagnosis in writing from the veterinarian within 2 days. Any animal that dies suddenly requires a necropsy and documentation from the vet stating that the death was caused by an illness or hereditary issue that was present at time of sale. Hereditary issues that are guaranteed include hip dysplasia and cardiomyopathy. We do not guarantee against bloat, knuckling, cancer, thyroid issues, and wobblers because those can be related to environment, food, and exercise. Puppy/dog must be seen by a licensed vet within 72 business hours after purchase or guarantee is voided.
Breeder Support As part of my commitment to my breeding program, my breeds, and my puppy buyers, I offer lifetime breeder support. I will do my best to answer question or address any concerns you may have, so please stay in touch. Pottle’s Ark loves to see our dogs grow, please send pictures and update us on how your dog is doing. The health and well-being of my puppies and my breeding lines is of the utmost importance to me. Staying in touch is how I learn about how everyone is doing.
