NARRATIVE REPORT

Cleaning is the process of removing food and


other types of soil from a surface, such as
dish, glass, or cutting board. Cleaning is done
with a cleaning agent that removes food, soil or
other substances. Sanitizing is the process of
removing microorganisms that remain on the tool
or equipment despite cleaning by heat,
radiation, and chemicals.

Our teacher ask us to watch a video


presentation, the video presentation is all
about on how to clean and sanitize kitchen tools
and equipment. In the video, they shown the 5
steps on how to clean and sanitize it. The first
step is Scrape and Pre-rinse, the second step is
Wash, the third step is Rinse, the fourth step
is Sanitize and the last step is Air Dry. In the
presentation, the kitchen tools and equipment is
sanitized by heat to remove microorganisms. They
pour hot water to the kitchen tools and
equipment to sanitize it.

It is important to sanitize kitchen tools and


equipment to maintain good qualities and
cleanliness of the equipment and to function
well. Cleaning and sanitizing helps avoid
infestations of the pests. Cleaning and
sanitizing helps keep the company consistent
with the laws and regulations about food safety.
Cleaning and sanitizing helps protect clients
and staff from health hazards, such as food
poisoning and allergic reactions. Yes, it is
still appropriate to apply safety measures while
presenting not just for you but for those who
you are presenting for. So, we should keep our
kitchen or our home clean.
