The manufacturing process of the secondary metal seat is produced from “Spun“ metal giving a perfectly flat
and scratch free surface regardless of diameter, and allows us to achieve a 0.15mm tolerance between the
critical radiuses on which the valve disc seals.
Precision water jet cut and spun metal valve seats are supplied in various metals (please see metal chart for

Thermiculite™ 894 Braided Packing
Thermiculite™ 894 is a flexible gasket based upon the proprietary Thermiculite™ sealing material used in the
Thermiculite™ critical service series of products and has all of the performance capability of that series.
It is made by over-knitting strips of foil used in the manufacture of Thermiculite™ 835 spiral wound gasket with a fine
(0.09mm diameter) Inconel 600 wire and then braiding a number of those Thermiculite™/ Inconel strips to produce a
square section sealing material available in continuous coil form.

GEEGRAF Graphite Laminates
Gee Graphite Ltd manufactures the widest range of reinforced graphite laminates for gasket use.
We offer the complete process from selection of high purity graphite foil through guillotining, laminating, curing and
final inspection all carried out in house. On laminates which use an adhesive we use a unique high temperature adhesive
system which gives a 100% bond. This proven system enables the finished sheet to be converted into gaskets with narrow
land widths and/ or complex geometry without the problem of delamination.
