Clarification regarding conduct of final semester exams, Order No. 1101/2020/KTU

dtd. 03.08.2020

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor has directed to issue the following clarifications regarding the conduct of final

semester examinations:

Clause 4 is stated as:

'The maximum mark for the examination of each subject will be 100. Though each question paper is
set for a maximum mark of 100 (60 for MBA), the student shall write only for 70 (42 for MBA) marks.'

which may be read as:


"The maximum mark for the examination of each subject will be 100 (60 for MBA). Though each
question paper is set for a mark of 100 (60 for MBA), University will treat the maximum mark as 70 (42

for MBA)."

Also regarding clause 19, those who opt for improving grades after publication of 8th semester results,

the Provisional certificate, Consolidated Grade Card (CGC) and Degree Certificate will be issued only
after publication of improvement examination results. The month and year of passing the degree will
be the month and year of the improvement examination, even if the student do not get an

improvement in grades.
