1-1) Overview of service
Object Storage is the service to work with other Cloudn services to make the available storage
object-oriented and enable control from API or control panel.
This service allows you to introduce the inexpensive storage service with fewer limitations for
Cloudⁿ account.

2-1) Start using the Storage service
In order to start using the Storage service, start using it from the Cloud n portal or control
panel (only in West Japan/USA).

Log in the Cloudⁿ portal, and click [Start using] displayed by mouseover to [Sign Up
Now ] icon in the region used.

A pop-up screen showing the service is starting appears. Then the Object Storage
console screen appears.

2-1) Start using the Storage service

Click the [Manage Users] tab in the control panel.

Select the user who uses Object Storage and click " ".

Click [Submit] in order to make Object Storage available.

The screen of adding Storage account completed pops up. Click the [Close] button.

After the Storage account is added, log in the control panel with the appropriate user to
show the [Storage console] tab, where you can move to the Storage console screen.

2-2) Start the Storage console
In order to start the Storage console, start it from the Cloud n portal or control panel (only in
West Japan/USA).

Log in the Cloudⁿ portal, and click [Console] displayed by mouseover to [Object
Storage] icon which you start using in the region used.

2-2) Start the Storage console
The following operations are available on the Storage console.
[Management] tab (*) The following functions are available under this tab.
[Explorer] tab The following functions are available under this tab.
- Account profile
Enables to set the profile of account.
- Security certificate
Enables to browse, disable and delete the access key
and private key (secret key) required when using API, and
create new keys.
[Usage amount] tab (*) The following functions are available under this tab.
A user with the Domain User privilege created in West Japan and USA Data
Centers cannot display the [Management] and [Usage fee] tabs.

2-3) Terminate the Storage console
Close the Storage console.

Click [Log out] on the upper right portion of the Storage console.

After logout, [Logout] is shown on the window and the screen is not closed
automatically. Close the screen manually.

3-1) Create the bucket
Create a new bucket.

Click the [Data Explorer] tab from the Object Storage control panel.
Click

Enter the name of bucket which you want to create and then click [Create].
Click
You must set the bucket name so that it is unique through system. If you create
the bucket with the name used by other user, an error is displayed.

Confirm that the bucket created is shown in [Object and folder].

3-2) Delete the bucket
Delete the bucket.

Click the [Explorer] tab from the Object Storage control panel.
Click

Select the bucket which you want to delete from [Select a bucket] and click [Delete] to
delete it.
Click
You cannot delete the bucket if it has an object. First delete the object in bucket
and then delete the bucket.
When you click [Delete], it is immediately deleted. Confirm carefully and then
delete it.

3-3) Upload the object (file)
Upload the object (file) to the bucket.

Click the [Explorer] tab from the Object Storage control panel.

Select the bucket for which you want to create an object. When you want to create the
object in folder, click the folder targeted in [Name].

Select the file targeted from "Reference" and click [Upload the file].
Click
The file size to upload the file from the Storage console is up to 2G due to
limitation of recommended browser FireFox. If you desire to upload the file of more
than 2G, use Object Storage API.
In order to register the folder, enter the folder name and click [Create the folder].
When uploading the HTML file, it can work as a static contents server.

Confirm that the object registered in [Name] is shown.

3-4) Delete the object
Delete the object.

Click the [Explorer] tab from the Object Storage control panel.

Check the checkbox of object which you want to delete in [Select the bucket] and then click
[Delete].

The confirmation screen appears. Click [OK] to complete deletion.

3-5) Publish the bucket and object
Perform the public setting of bucket and object. The setting method is common to bucket and
object.

When you want to publish the bucket, select the target bucket in [Select the bucket] and
click [Access right].
When you want to publish the object, check the checkbox of target object and click
[Access right].

When you add the user and group which can access to bucket or object, click [Add].

When deleting the already existing user/group, check the checkbox of user/group
which you want to delete and then click [Delete].

When you click [Delete], it is immediately deleted. Confirm carefully and then
delete it.

When editing the public setting of user/group, edit the public setting by using the
checkbox of target user or group respectively. By default, all public settings are allowed.
-Readable:
Allows to read the bucket or object.
-Writable (only for bucket):
Allows to write in the bucket.
-ACP readable:
Allows to read the access policy of bucket or object.
-ACP writable:
Allows to write in the access policy of bucket or object.
If the public setting of bucket is different from object one, object one is preferred.

When setting the public URL for object, click [Public URL access].

Set [Allow reading], [Issue the secure URL (https)], [Maximum number of downloading] and
[Expiration date]. Set only [Allow reading], or both [Allow reading] and [Issue the secure URL
(https)], and click [Save] to generate the URL.
-Allow reading:
Allows the access from external to the object.
-Issue the secure URL (https):
Allows the secure access from external to the object.
-Maximum number of downloading:
Sets the maximum number of downloading.
-Expiration date:
Sets the expiration date for access from external.

After editing all public settings, click [Save] to terminate.

4-1) Set the account profile
Set the account profile. This setting is not mandatory.

Enter the account profile information and click [Save].

“Account Profile was modified successfully" appears on top of screen. The setting of
account profile is completed.

4-2) Confirm the API key
Confirm the access key and private key (secret key) required when using API.

Click the [Security Credentials] tab to display the access key ID. If you want to display the
private key (Secret Key), click [View Secret Key] in the [Actions].

5-1) Search a user
Search a user.

Click the [Admin] tab from the Object Storage control panel.

Enter and select the conditions to search the user and click [Search].

6-1) Display the usage report
Display the usage amount of Object Storage as a report.

Enter in [Operation], [Time Period] and [Report Granularity] of report displayed, [Group ID] setting
and [User].
-Operation:
Select the type of report to be displayed from downstream data transfer (Data Transfer-In-Bytes),
upstream data transfer (Data Transfer-In-Bytes), total capacity (Storage-Bytes), number of object
(Storage-Objects), number of all requests (All Requests), number of requests received (Get
Requests), number of requests sent (Put Requests) and number of requests deleted (Delete
Requests).
-Time Period:
Select the period to be displayed from (Last week), (Last Month) and (Custom Period). When
selecting "Custom Period", set the period.
-Report Granularity:
Select the unit of report to be displayed from (Hours), (Days), (Months) and actual data (Raw).
-Group ID:
Select the group ID in order to browse the report.
-User:
In order to browse a specific user, enter the user name.
Do not use (Current Billing Period) and (Previous Billing Period) in [Time Period]. 25
6-1) Display the usage report

Click [List] to display the result in the list format.
You can download the same result in CSV format by clicking [Download CSV].

Click [Graph] to display the result in the graph format.
