Welcome to Week 1: what you'll learn this


week
Hello and welcome to Week 1!

This week we’ll be looking at how to effectively communicate in


different situations within the hospital. We’ll be looking at typical
roles and departments as well as learning about the process of
registration. To do this, you’ll be exploring a range of language types
needed to collect information.

When you finish this week, you’ll be able to:

• identify a variety of hospital departments


• understand the roles of various hospital staff
• and identify which departments the hospital staff work in.

You’ll also be able to:

• listen to information to complete a registration form


• ask and answer questions using what, when, where, why, who,
how,
• and I’m going to explain how to reflect on your own learning.
