1. Preparation
- When version upgrading the CS-1, version upgrade of the software of the reader (For
REGIUS170, V1.00R22 or later (MCB), V1.00R09 or later(SCB_CF)) will be also required.
For REGIUS190, if the factory default version is V1.00R21 or later (MCB), this upgrade is
not necessary.
Please have Update-kit2 : Ver1.00R09 [R170/R190 Firmware Upgrade Instructions] ready.
- For a new CS-1 installation, have [CS-1 Program V1.10R03] ready.
Version of each device should be combined with the version shown in the [Current System]
or the [Version upgraded System] of the following chart.
*If any CS-1 or REGIUS170 has been version upgraded in the existing system, the version of
all the devices has to correspond to the version of [Version upgraded System] of the chart.
*For the version upgrade procedures, start with the CS-1 that include JM.
Image reading is possible in a tentative mixed system of old and new. However ,under the
mixed environment, compatibility cannot be partially retained. Immediately version
upgrade all the devices (On the day or day after).

3.7 Notes on LCD display gradient
As default display LUT has been improved in the CS-1 program V1.10R01. if the version of
the program is earlier than V1.10R00 and the default display LUT has been used, it will be
overwritten by the improved default display LUT. For reference ,the version earlier than
V1.10R00 has the following characters:
-V1.00R00 to V1.00R04
Æ Display is darker across the screen, and areas of low density are flat.
-V1.10R00
Æ Display is lighter across the screen, and display quality of the lung field in
the chest image is inferior to V1.00.
While using this version, if you want to use the default display LUT, whose version is earlier
than V1.10R00 for any reason, you have to adjust the settings with the following procedures:
3.7.1 From the windows explore, refer to Drive A (SUPER DISK) or the desktop, then open
the folder (Example “CD”) in which the installer was copied.
3.7.3 Install the default display LUT of the version earlier than V1.10R00.
Execute V1.00.EXE or V1.10.EXE
− V1.10R00 compatible

3.10 Editing and notes on image output gradient
This procedure is mandatory irrespective of the version of the existing CS-1 program.
The version upgrade to V2.00R03 and the following setting enable image output to printer to
have a better gradient. Additionally, this allows Dmax4.0 output of DRYPRO 793 and allows
to initialize gradient corresponding to light box with different luminance and environments
with different brightness.
(When version upgrading to V2.00R03, LUT has been changed to that for P Value.)
- 48 -
3.10.2 Open HOST INFO of Service tool.
For HOST 1 to 4, set Image Processing=P-Val.Presentation(others).
( If it has been set, it is not necessary to change it.)
- 49 -
3.11 Setting up the HIPAA functions (Security function) (V1.00R04
and later)
3.11.1 Open System Info in Service Tool, and tick HIPAA Mode to enable it.
The HIPAA mode is enabled after rebooting the CS-1.
By referring to the Service Manual, click Operator on User Tool, and enter the
login/passwords for all operators. At this time, be sure to designate at least one
person with Administrator rights for Group Membership. For all registered
engineers, be sure to set a login name and a password for each one.
- 50 -
4 Portable Mode (2.00R01 and later)
Refer to Portable Mode installation Manual for detailed installation procedures(When
installing program to handy terminal, designate the newest version.)
PDA-CASIO
-Select HTProg_V100R01.lzh and create a folder named “REGIUS” on the desktop of the
CS-1/3 and copy HTProg_V1.00R01.lzh to “REGIUS” on the desktop.
-Click Service tool -> Adjustment -> PDA tool -> Upgrade and
designate ”HTProg_V100R01.lzh”in “Regius folder on the desktop.
*1) CS-1/CS-3 program and the issue of handy terminal program may not synchronize.
- 51 -
*2) Even if Portable Mode has been set for the CS-1 on a site, when version upgrading the
CS-1 from V1.XX to V2.00R00 or later for the first time, it is necessary to execute the
“SetupExecDB” file” again. ( For details of the setting method of “SetupExecDB” , refer to
CS1 Portable Mode Installation Manual)
