Indices Index Form

The document discusses index form, which is a shorthand way to write numbers or terms with repeated factors. It provides examples of writing numbers and variables in index form. The key laws of indices are explained, such as adding/subtracting indices when multiplying/dividing similar terms, and multiplying indices when raising a term to a power. Negative indices indicate reciprocals, and a term with a zero index equals 1. Several exercises are given to simplify expressions using these index laws.
