PREAMBLE : Design Principle:
Approach: Provision of proper LT Panels Testing as per standard Installation
guidelines.
1. Scope of Work
1.1 This Statement Covers the LT Panels Testing Procedure and the
details check to be carried out.
1.2 This procedure is to be read in conjunction with relevant ITP
(Inspection and Test Plan) . This also outlines the responsibilities
and quality verification to be done by Blue Star, Samsung and Client
as per relevant ITP.
1.3 This procedure also defines the method of testing to be done to ensure the
stability to an acceptable level as per applicable Installation Standards.
2. LT Panels Testing Procedure
Following Test will be carried Out
1. IR Test.
2. High Voltage Test.
3. Electrical & Mechanical Test.
LT Panel IR Test
1. Switch power supply breaker to "Open" or "Off" position.
2. De-energize load side connections
3. Isolate all loads associated with bus to be tested.
2
4. Disconnect high-voltage sensitive devices and potential transformers from buss to be tested.
5. Record leads lifted and fuses removed on Verification Sheet. Verify that information is correct
6. Megger busswork phase-to-phase then phase-to-ground for one minute, until readings are stable
Phase To Phase R–Y,Y–B,B–R,
Phase To Nutral R–N,Y–N,B–N,
Phase To Earth R – E ,Y – E , B – E ,
Nutral To Earth N –E
7. Ground and discharge each phase tested.
8. Connect high voltage sensitive devices and potential transformers.
High Voltage Test of LT Panels
1. After IR Test Hi Pot Test is carried on panel.
2. De-energize load side connections .
3. Isolate all loads associated with bus to be tested.
4. Disconnect high-voltage sensitive devices and potential transformers from buss to be tested.
5. Record leads lifted and fuses removed on Verification Sheet. Verify that information is correct.
6. Inject 2.5 KV AC voltage to phase-to-phase then phase-to-ground for one minute, until readings are stable
7. Phase To Phase R–Y,Y–B,B–R,
8. Phase To Nutral R–N,Y–N,B–N,
9. Phase To Earth R – E ,Y – E , B – E ,
10. Nutral To Earth N –E
11. Record the leakage current of each test
12. Ground and discharge each phase tested.
13. Connect high voltage sensitive devices and potential transformers.
Electrical & Mechanical Test
1. Equipment Installation Position & Condition.
2. Panel flanges & Chamber Cover.
3. Door Locks & Gasket.
4. Panel coupling and fish-plate.
