Synonyms- are words that mean the same or almost the same.
Directions: Put an X mark beside the word that doesn’t belong to the group.
B. Activity
There will be words displayed in the board with missing pairs. The teacher will
instruct the students to look for it under their chairs. Some will find word cards and
some will find none.
After the students find the cards, they will put it beside the corresponding
antonym.

Antonyms- are words that mean the opposite or nearly the opposite.

dark- bright
quiet- loud
healthy- sick
The prefixes in-, un-, dis-, mis- and the suffix –less may be added to root
words to form their antonyms.
satisfactory- unsatisfactory
comfort- discomfort
lead- mislead
thoughtful- thoughtless
E. Application
Directions: Write an antonym from the word box to replace the underlined
words.

from the box below.
