Opening Prayer
Introduction:
In this lesson, our focus would be first on scientific attitudes, its definition and
let us be aware of their value in character formation of the young minds and
hearts. Next we will deal with the contributions of outstanding scientists and
finally their role as a models for the young.
Pre-Assessment:

b. Has Scientific attitude something to do with inventions and
discoveries of scientists? Explain
The scope of our lesson is getting expanded for we started with the nature of
science, then we relate it to our daily activities, and it was followed by our
study on the application of science in the form of technology.
Here are some SCIENTIFIC ATTITUDES or values that one needs to develop
for intellectual growth:
We are also happy of the contributions made by the scientists. As you read
their profiles and understand their lives, what impressed you about their
work and what inspiration were you able to acquire from them? Explain.
Scientists are also ordinary people like us. Do you think any of us can
become a scientist in we want to? How?

Loving God, we thank you for giving us the inspiration through our learnings
today. We hope to emulate the scientific attitudes of the scientists because
by their perseverance and hard work they have come up with things useful
to humanity. Let these learners also reflect on the role models so all of us
may do the same. This we pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
