Dr. Lalaine S.J. Manuntag

Division ICT Coordinator
Division of South Cotabato

Dear Dr. Manuntag,

The 21st century learner has dawned to a new age through the creation of Republic Act 10533 otherwise known as
Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013.The enactment of this law has opened the windows of the world for the
learners to aim for Global competitiveness. This landmark education law is inarguably a springboard for the
learners and likewise a transition period from the errors of the past in the Philippine educational system to the
realization of the vision of the 21st century education.

However, the success of this law does not be deemed alone in its passage nor the beauty, reliability and
applicability of its provisions embodied in every articles but it has to take the full implementation of the law
through its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) which requires appropriate funding, adequate resources
and the will to carry out its objectives through the K to 12 program of the Department of Education.

In view of the above-quoted DepEd program, it has always been the perennial concern of School Administrators
from the remote and highland schools the lack of facilities, resources and electronic equipment such as computers
to alleviate the learning standard of students from less fortunate schools like ours.

In furtherance of this objective, I am requesting your good office to sanction the accord of computer units
intended for the students of our far-flung institution. Last school year, the Meralco Employees’ Foundation, a
Non-Government Organization based at Metro Manila has donated solar panels for our school far enough to
sustain the needed energy for school activities and electronic equipments.

Given the chance that this humble request be granted, the dream has incorporated in the DepED vision as a
learner-centered public institution could be rest assured that our school, Pulo Subong Integrated School could
produce graduates with enough knowledge and skills in ICT as an instrument for confidence-building measure to
set their best foot forward as a 21st century learner.

Furthermore, your positive response appertaining this request shall be highly appreciate.

Thank you very much and more power!!!

Respectfully Yours,

GODOFREDO L. APOSTOL
