Question: Write Down The Advantages and Disadvantages of Flexible and Rigid Pavement. (BSEC'18)

Flexible pavement has advantages such as being easy and inexpensive to repair, providing a smooth surface, and accommodating staged construction. However, it also has higher long-term maintenance costs, a shorter lifespan under heavy traffic, and is damaged by chemicals and oils. Rigid pavement has benefits like low maintenance costs, extreme durability, and withstanding damage from oils, but it has higher initial costs and repair expenses and a rougher ride quality. Both pavement types have advantages and disadvantages depending on the project needs and budget.
