4 Troubleshooting
The message The archive is corrupt is displayed when a software package is being
decompressed by using WinRAR, as shown in Figure 4-1.
Cause analysis:
The WinRAR software of an earlier version is used, which restricts the file capacity during
decompression.
Solution:
l Close the alarm dialog box and continue the decompression task.
l Upgrade the WinRAR software to 5.X or later and decompress the software package
again.

l Data
You have obtained the following data:
– IP address and subnet mask for the iMana or iBMC management network port
– User name and password for logging in to iMana or iBMC
Procedure
Step 1 Configure a login environment.
1. Connect the network port on a PC to the iMana or iBMC management network port of
the server by using a network cable.
2. Set an IP address for the PC. Ensure that this IP address is on the same network segment
as the IP address for the iMana or iBMC management network port.
For example, set the IP address to 192.168.2.10 and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0.
Step 2 Set properties for the web browser.
1. On the menu bar of Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Internet Options.
The Internet Options dialog box is displayed.
2. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings.

l Data
You have obtained the following data:
– IP address and subnet mask for the MM910 management network port
– User name and password for logging in to the MM910
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to the MM910 WebUI.
1. Connect the Ethernet port on a PC to a port on a switch module over the local area
network (LAN).
The MM910 management network port is connected to a port on the switch module in
slot 2X or 3X through the midplane by default, and then connected to an external
network through the switch module.
The mapping between switch modules and ports is as follows:
– CX110 and CX91x series switch modules: GE electrical ports
– CX31x series switch modules: 10GE optical ports
NOTE
Run the outportmode command on the command-line interface (CLI) to use the MGMT network
port on the MM910 panel to connect to an external network.
2. Set the IP address and subnet mask or route information for the PC so that the PC can
properly communicate with the MM910.
3. On the menu bar of Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Internet Options.
The Internet Options dialog box is displayed.
