    2. Insights (What new insights or learning did you gain in discussion/ activity?)

    i. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that there is no tariff in the
    integration process. However, reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now
    think/realize that the tariff is used to restrict different imports by increasing its value to make
    them less engaging to others.

    ii. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that third-world countries can’t
    join an organization of wealthy counties. However, reading the article/understanding the
    lesson, I now think/realize that it’s not all about the economic status, it’s about the benefits of
    one another and their ability to stand up to consequences.

    iii. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that imports from other country
    are fine because of their quality products. However, reading the article/understanding the
    lesson, I now think/realize that too many foreign products beat up local trade, such as small
    farmers of agriculture. A country shouldn’t depend on another country; one’s growth starts
    within.
