portfolio for fine denier polyester and polyamide synthetic fibers

Product highlights
BLACK PEARLS 5160 specialty carbon black is a high jetness specialty carbon
black for synthetic fiber applications that offers the filterability needed to
produce filament fibers.

Key applications
BLACK PEARLS 5160 specialty carbon black is typically used in synthetic fiber
applications where very high color performance and good filterability are
required, eliminating the tradeoff that typically happens when one of these
key qualities is required for a formulation.

Features of this specialty carbon black include:
¿ Designed for use in polyester, polyamide, and other synthetic fibers for a wide range of applications via
extrusion or direct spinning
¿ Imparts a higher level of jetness without completely sacrificing filterability as measured by Cabot’s fine
screen delta P (FSDP test)
¿ Enables longer run times through quality consistency
