which is much more than shoplifters.

1. An anti-theft policy for the retailers:

 Owner should set surveillance camera in every corner from where all activity of
employees can be viewed. This can reduce shoplifter and employee theft both.
 Ensure that all in and outside retail theft cases are investigated and resolved in
accordance with state administration and local laws. This will reduce employee theft
because employees will have the fear of getting caught red handed.
 Cashier Staking is one of the common thefts by employees. It is a Simple method.
Which is tracking how much money they need to remove from the drawer before the
end of the day and how they do is with simple coins. This can be prevented by a good
point of sale system, properly trained management, and properly trained owner can
spot employee theft.
 Ensure that all in and outside retail theft cases are investigated and resolved in
accordance with state administration and local laws. This will reduce employee theft
because employees will have the fear of getting caught red handed.
 Institute modern inventory management and Point of sale-POS software to make it
monitoring easy for cashier. POS system that will pull reports for every day. These
reports will make it easy for the owner to notice like if the cash register has been
consistently down a few dollars.

keep employees more productive and less likely to steal. One of the best way to keep
employees satisfied is fair wages.
 Keep your employees happy: Happy employees are just better for a business. They’re more
productive and less likely to steal from you. The retail industry as a whole has not been the
best about seeing to it that their employees are happy, but both Starbucks and Costco stand
out. Starbucks, for instance, has eliminated the gender pay gap at their US stores and helps
pay for their employees’ college educations. Costco starts their employees at $11.50 an hour
and hires almost exclusively from within. As a small business, you owe it to your employees
to provide fair pay (even if you cannot provide Costco-level pay) and to do what you can to
provide them with a happy work environment.
 To build co-ordination and proper partnerships with store management to implement LP
(loss prevention) programs.
