ERPSIM Game reflection

Introduction
Enterprises Resources Planning (ERP) system is underlying the developing competencies and
teaching the concepts and also a difficult task. For muesli products, a manufacturing company
and for beverages, a commercial company these are the two kinds of games (Charland, Léger,
Feldstein, Robert, Babin & Lyle, 2010). The Game represents exposure to the ERP system in
real-time. Four to six students are majorly preferred for competing and performing simulation
game. Problem-based learning is one of the business processes that are followed in ERP
simulation. I understood about tactics and desired skills by this problem-based learning.

The team experience

I played many games with a team of 4 members and my experience was to operate in a changing
and dynamic environment build by continuous-time simulation. I had to cope up quickly with the
sales order management, pricing, material planning, and selected tasks concerning procurement
processes along with this have to add stock to the inventory with the analysis tool and
corresponding report. The gamming process had joint me with the team members and taught me
how to deal with other team members and also taught how to communicate with the other team
members to have great gaming experience.

I like the most about the game experience today

One of the biggest parts about the gaming that I like the most is it connected the team members
whether they or friends or not. The innovative ways and awesome graphics were the main
attraction point for me which has attracted me towards the actual concept of ERP system.
Another part of the gaming experience that I like the most is the underlying features of the SAP
ERP system which were continuously changing in every round and adopting the newly simulated
market conditions. This approach allows me to focus on the decision-making and analytics along
with this gave me incentives for getting better at translating strategies into the actions by using
an ERP system.
I like the least about the game experience today
One thing that has disappointed me was simulation can be hindered by the lack of data
availability that sometimes created the problems in describing accurately a given system. The
results can be changed by using some facts while the obtained result was an approximation of the
real result. The core technologies remained unknown for me thus I was unable to finish the game
properly. The game was in various phases and the thing that has disappointed me was, in the
beginning, some of the simulations were unknown for me.

My knowledge of the game that could have been done differently

The traditional form of ERP system could be identified by changes in the difference of IT that
would enable ERP. The gaming part taught me various crucial things which are very helpful for
the real-life experiences, as the coordination among the team members and level of thinking to
accomplish the task very efficiently and timely. The planning and procurements must be added
in the game by a gamer to achieve success and survive in every stage or phase like in the real
world (Léger, Robert, Babin, Pellerin & Wagner, 2011). The advancement in technologies and
gaming visibility plays a crucial role in joining every member of the team and surviving in the
game.

I like the most about the game experience today

The way that the designer connected people with the game is a very lovable thing for me. The
graphics of the game and culture created in the gaming felt me like I am in the real world of that
game and also felt me that player is not playing the game I am on the place of the player. The
way of providing the game in various phased with continuous increasing difficulties was the best
attractive point for me. Another likeable thing of the game is the decision of other members
could also impact the strategies and running processes of the game thus better understanding
between the player is very crucial for accomplishing the game effectively.

Additional knowledge or skills that would have helped me play the game today
The more knowledge about the current technologies and features of the updated game always
helps a person to play a better game and being a professional in the industry (Caya, Léger,
Grebot & Brunelle, 2014). I have been appointed for the role of delivering the toolkit and
facilitating services to every department. The professionalism in some games in the past was a
beneficial part for me to have great game experience and coordination with the team members, as
I already knew the value of coordination among the players. The knowledge and experience of
an ERP system was the biggest beneficial key to play the game today.

Skills/Learning edges that I could take away from playing the game today
Gaming taught me strategies that are adequate for realizing different operations involved in
obtaining profits. The assistance of the technologies for learning the ways of achieving an ERP
task could be learned. The contact and coordination among members should be appropriate for
having a better decision to achieve success. To deal with any sort of complexity, the most
significant skills are teamwork which could take me away to play the game. The
abovementioned learning and skills are some of them which could take me away from playing
the game today.

Conclusion
It can be concluded that the ERP simulator is very effective and efficient to present the real
experience to handle the distribution channel. The reflection is majorly concerned about the real
experience of a gamer and level of coordination among the team members to have a better result
and experience. As I have experienced the simulator gaming and faced various problems in the
initial stages regarding data missing and unknown technology, I would like to recommend that
the initial phase’s acknowledgement should be provided with the detailing of unknown
technology. The answer shows positive feedback towards the usefulness and reflective phase that
will confirm the increase in the number of gamers and the positive experience of the gamer.
