1. What quantifiable cost savings not specified in project contracts has Infosys delivered to PFS
during the past five years?

PFS outsourced its IT maintenance because of the primary reason of cost optimisation.Infosys
provided exemplary service in the past 5 years exceeding PFS expectations as per the contract.

Reduction in Disability Claims Reserves.

The streamlining and reengineering claim submission along with the claim payment process
reduces the cash reserves of PSF.This was at a cost of capital of 10 %.14 million USD was the
reduction in cash reserves for payment disability claims that could be achieved out of this .

Record Comparison Algorithm.

In compliance filing to each state there is a chance of fine if PFS could not do it on first of each
month.Infosys wrote an algorithm to tackle this issue of this record comparison.This helped to
save a chance if penalising amount of 360000 USD per month.It also saved 8 CPU hours of PSF
each month.

Data Corruption Prevention Subroutine​.

“PFS runs two major IT systems off a common database in different timings in batch mode.11pm
o 5 am and 5 am to 11 pm.If programs run in one session lately to the next session it will lead to
data corruption and ideal manpower of 4 hours around 125 employees. This saved around
317649.36USD on this account

Reengineering Project Assignments​.

“Infosys had major five maintenance projects at PFS.Infosys had deployed total 250 persons for
maintenance jobs three years back and there were around 75 employees for the projects at US
itself.Infosys then scrutinize and optimised the manpower allocating them to different projects so
that the total employee numbers bring to 15o.100 peoples was savings for PFS with same service
level with fewer employees.This saved around $8,000 per month.

end-to-end solution for the Ariba e-Procurement System project?

From the PFS angle of view from the case reading Infosys has proven their skill in IT
maintenance aspects both in terms of quality and cost.Also PFS believes that Learning curve
of Infosys to Eprocurement project will be less compared to competitors since Infosys is
assisting PFS IT maintenance for last 5 years and they are well aware of all internal process
of PFS.This will help them to provide an early project completion.

Infosys in their aspects Mr Jaspal,Ms Lalitha and Mr Rahul think of to prepare a compelling
presentation assembled with available performance metrics and case histories of our ongoing
work at PFS.Infosys regularly personnel diligently and rigorously gather, document, and
analyze such data on an ongoing basis.So it will be easy for them.As Mr Rahul said they can
frame the presentation in a convincing manner which will intimidate that Infosys performed
above to PFS’s expectation.

So this can be achieved through the below steps

3. Present logical argument to convince that it is best to have a single vendor is
advisable for entire e procurement system
