Learning activity 12: Manage the inventory of materials, products and/or

equipment according to the organization policies.

Develop a narration in order to reproduce English sentences or simple

statements to express ideas or concepts

The tour guide should be able to keep detailed records of the equipment under his
or her charge, and should also be able to explain how such materials are used
when conducting a tour. The process of giving instructions requires an advanced
knowledge of the language, as it uses verb tenses, specific and technical
vocabulary.

Teamwork is essential to achieve positive results, as the process of tourist

guidance requires coordinated work among different experts, from different
backgrounds, to resolve any mishap that may occur during the guidance. Likewise,
the interaction between learners in English becomes relevant during the process of
learning the language, as the ability to communicate, question, motivate and
dialogue is exercised, so that immersion in a different linguistic context than the
native language is best executed.

The learning process of the tourist guide's professional skills must be focused on
interaction with tourists, and this requires social, discursive, respectful and caring
skills from abroad. Therefore, this evidence seeks for the learner to demonstrate
that he or she has the communicative and interactive skills to properly develop a
tourist guide.
