2.0 LAN setup for biometric device


and Remote Connection
1) Plug RJ45 one end connector to Biometric Box and another end to
computer(Laptop or PC) as shown in Fig 2.0 and 2.1 respectively

Remote Desktop Connection


Note: Please set your computer id 192.168.1.x where x is your wish within
255. Example (192.168.1.203)
Important*
IP address of Biometric device: 192.168.1.201
IP address of NUC: 192.168.1.202
Step 1: Search for Remote Desktop Connection in your windows PC and click it

Step 2: Enter NUC IP address on the computer tab as 192.168.1.202 and
Click on connect

Step 3: Enter computer name with domain name and Password shown in
figure and click on ok (i.e username: fanuc\Electrono and password:
oerlikon1)

If above all steps are correct then NUC will get connected to your computer (Laptop) shown
in fig 2.6.

Once launched please check whether the current state in shown connected if not check with
the Ethernet wiring of the device and NUC. Make sure you’re able to ping the device and the
NUC.

3.0 Add new users to biometric


Steps to add new users in device

Step 1: Please make sure that software connected to device is disconnected.

Step 2: Add new users to device long press on M/ok button on eSSL device. Then select User Mng
on menu next click on new user and enter details in form and register finger, finally click ok. (Please
refer below images for reference)

Mapping users to Software

Note: Please find the Release folder on desktop and find MS access database file name UserInfoDB.mdb on same folder.
Open the file, find the tables called BWEIDAndUIDMapping and BWLogData

Step 2: Click on connect button in software. Punch twice on biometric device to


generate unique EnrollmentID for fingerprint. Find the unique EnrollmentID in
BWLogData table copy and paste into BWEIDAndUIDMapping table
MEnrollmentID column. Find the id of the user in biometric device and enter into
BWEIDAndUIDMapping table MUserID column (refer fig 3.0). Finally save and
close the database.

Now, new user registration completed in both device and software side. If everything
goes correct then to verify the functionality punch in onetime, now relay will trigger
ON after few minutes punch out wait for 10seconds relay goes to OFF state.
