Job Description
Title: Aveva E3D L2/L3 Administrator

Location: Greenville, SC

Duration: 6+ Months  

Required Skills:

• Aveva E3D Admin set up and configuration of 

o DESIGN – Equipment, Piping, Structural, Access Stair Ladders

o ISODRAFT – Customization as per the requirements, backing sheet setup

o DRAFT – Administration & Drafting

o PARAGON (CATS) – Piping, Steel, Instrument, Catalogue creation & modification

o SPECON (SPECS) – Piping, Steel, Instrument, Spec creation & modification

o LEXICON – UDA & UDET creation

• ADMIN – Project setup, Access control, Project creation, configuration

• Strong knowledge on PML1 & PML2

• Specialization in specification development, templates, reports, attributes, etc.

• Familiarity with gas turbine hardware and basic understanding of engine components and
their functions.

• Strong computer skills and experience/aptitude for project management.

• Strong cross-functional, teaming, communication and presentation skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support of Aveva E3D Requisition Ready:

o Data fields completed

o Drawing templates created

o Maxcases defined

o Report templates created

o Process definitions 

o Process documentation

o Enterprise integration

o New Plant Setup

o Specification development

o Catalog database development

o Create project backup for transfer

• Day to day support to users for all admin related activities for all Aveva E3D modules

• E3D Development to increase productivity/efficiency of users / processes

• Catalogue addition or modification

Responsible to improve Aveva E3D implementations and reduce ticket volume

Scope of work
Reporting to the head of Aveva PDMS and Aveva E3D CAD Administration group, within the “Project
Execution Systems” department, you will be responsible for the implementation and follow-up of Aveva
PDMS and E3D and their associated modules: Your administrator duty covers all services necessary
for optimal usage of PDMS and E3D by the client disciplines, subsidiaries and partners as part of their
projects.

 After an integration/training period inside department, you will have to:

 Define and implement 3D CAD procedures with discipline leaders;


 Provide support and advices to users;
 Define software and hardware needs, evaluation and implementation of new tools;
 Define PDMS and E3D specifications in line with project requirements;
 Write PDMS and E3D user procedures in the frame of required projects;
 Participate in monitoring the actions of other PDMS and E3D administrators on projects;
 Develop and implement macros / new features in PDMS and E3D for disciplines;
 Interface with IT teams for the architecture supporting PDMS and E3D;
 Monitor systems, analyze their performances and follow up incidents with the software editor.

Department.Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

 Creating and maintaining projects


 Troubleshooting
 Setting up global projects
 Development and implementation of change and system improvements
 Global PDMS system activities in co-operation with your managers.
 Develop and implement new PDMS Utilities.
 Pipe Support development and customization using MDS.
 PDMS project backup and review file generation.
 Develop project specific drawing and report templates.
 Automate model extractions and interfaces to other 3D systems and tools.
 Provide administrative and frontline user support by phone, email, Lync and the
through the company service desk.
 You should expect to deal with some highly dynamic project environments and often
provide complex, tailor made project solutions linking multiple project sites and 3rd
party CAD systems together into one cohesive project unit.
 Support and collaborate directly with global engineering teams.
 There might be some travel to our offices in Middle East and Denmark depending
upon the project need.

 At least 10 years of experience working with E3D and PDMS development within the
Energy industry is a must.
 Knowledge in AVEVA P and ID / AVEVA Diagrams / AVEVA Instrumentation and
Electricals is an added advantage.
 In-depth, hands-on experience operating and programming PDMS and PML.
 Experience providing structured CAD services.
 User knowledge of MS-Office applications such as Word, Access and Excel and
Outlook.
 Experience with similar 3D plant design systems and/or Citrix would be
advantageous.
