V. Procedures :
A. Readings :
1. Present the lesson by showing an empty basket/box.
(Ask)What do I have? Is there an object inside it?
Note: Place an apple in the box one after the other. Let the pupils count the number of
apples repeatedly before writing the symbol.
2. Show the number card 0 and tell the pupils it represents the number for the empty
box. Place the number card beside the box. Let them read the number card 0.
Ask the pupil to put one apple in the box .
(Ask)How many apples are there in the box? Show the number card 1 and introduce number
one
(1). Ask another pupil to put one more apple in the box.
( Ask) How many apples are there in the box? Show the number card 2 and introduce number
two
(2). Repeat the procedure in introducing numbers 3 to 100. Have the pupils read the number
symbols. Ask the pupils to put their hands in the air and follow the teacher in writing the
number symbols in the air.

Show number cards with sets of object from 0 to 10 randomly. Tell what number it
represents. Focus on how each number is represented using the picture and the symbol.
