    1. A boy had a dog.


    The dog ran into the woods.
    The boy ran after the dog.
    He wanted the dog to go home.
    But the dog would not go home.
    The little boy said,
    “I cannot go home without my dog.”
    Then the boy began to cry.

    He lived with his mother in a pen.
    One day he saw his four feet.
    “Mother, ”he said, “what can I do with my feet?”
    His mother said “You can run with them.”
    So the little pig ran round and round the pen.

    The cat bit off the mouse’s tail. “Pray puss,” said the mouse, “give me
