78-85 F Shotcrete Test Formats

This document contains details regarding shotcrete testing for a tunnel construction project. It includes information on the mix design, application process, and penetrometer test procedure and results. The penetrometer test involves measuring the force required to push a 3mm diameter plunger 15mm into the shotcrete specimen at various time intervals. Test results are provided in a table showing the average force measured at 6 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes post application. The required forces and strengths are also listed for comparison at each interval.

Test Procedure: A penetrometer with a 60 degree pointed 3mm diameter plunger is pushed 15mm
into the specimen and the required force read. At each time interval 10 tests are
carried out within a maximum of 1 minute and the average calculated.
For calibration reference see Austrian Guideline for Shotcrete, Figure 12/5.
