different needs of the individual LGUs.

The proposed process stages that can be part of such a waste treatment concept are:

Decentralized concept: Locally-built, technically simple, for low waste quantities

Decentralized concept: Technically more sophisticated, for medium waste quantities
Centralized concept: Treatment plant for several cities, for larger waste quantities
Centralized concept: Energetic utilization of high calorific fraction and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF)

Target Market and Prospects

The target market are the specific customers/ tourist bases fun of sporting activities, passion fro wild
life, Prospects of laguna is the Students whom are graduated in related on the hospitality industry

Development Strategies

 Tourism can create jobs, both directly e.g. tour guides and people working in hotels and
indirectly e.g. taxi drivers and maintenance staff employed by hotels. In 2010 alone 450,000
new workers were recruited to the tourism sector. It is estimated that for everyone 1 direct job, 2
indirect jobs are created.
 Tourism creates extra income in a country, both through direct tourist expenditure and tax
receipts. In Vietnam, tourism now makes up 6% of total GDP.
 Infrastructure improvements. Roads, airports, railways, electricity and water supply all get
improved as a result of tourist investment. However, developments may initially put a strain on
supply and cause price spikes while demand outstrips supply.
 Improved international relations. Vietnam recently hosted the APEC summit and is now a
member of ASEAN and WTO. Its stability and growth is attracting interest from an increasing
variety of investors
 Attracts FDI. In 2010, 625 tourist related investment projects were announced, totaling 12.26
billion of investment
 Increased entrepreneurship. Locals see opportunities to improve personal wealth. This sparks
entrepreneurship while also encouraging individuals to finish education i.e. get better language
skills.
 New skills and technology. New skills and technology introduced through the tourism sector can
then be used in other aspects of the economy.
 Positive multiplier effect. As mentioned above the development of one sector can have positive
effects in other sectors as well.

Develop and Expand Tourism Attractions/Product

Hot spring resort development in Laguna Province

One significant activity in Laguna province is the development of the water resorts which
includes hot springs resorts and spas. Presence of hot springs is due to the geothermal activities in
the area. This study seeks to explore the nature and possible impacts of groundwater utilization in
hot spring resorts in Calamba and Los Baños in Laguna Province. This study also analyzes the
issues and challenges in the implementation of policies and laws to regulate water use in these
resorts.

These water resorts are estimated to consume large volume of groundwater which could result to
over-extraction and decrease in groundwater quantity. However, monitoring and regulation of usage
is difficult as most of these resorts operate without water use permits. If groundwater use is left
unregulated, water availability for the resorts industry and for domestic, commercial and other uses
in the future will be negatively affected. It is necessary to strengthen implementation of laws and
enhance partnerships among national and local government agencies, private sector, civil society
and communities, in the proper monitoring and regulation of groundwater resources to promote
sustainability.

20
Rationalize, Improve and Expand Supplier Idustries

The Accommodations such as hotel in Laguna province are like in the modern hotels in manila. The
local Travel agencies are offers Cheap but Highly experience tours in the Province. Also the
Ifrastructure such as the security and health are also improve that they can manage the capability or
the number of tourist

Strengthen Tourism Cluster Foundation

One of the reasons that justify the huge interest in the clusters theme is its presumed impact on
companies’ performance, regional development, in addition to the activities considered in
the tourism sector, namely accommodation, catering, entertainment, and various attractions,
operators and travel agencies, guides, crafts, car rentals and touristic transport,

This is the sample of Manila-Laguna Cluster

Tourism Development Framework/Plan
A. Structure Plan for Tourism Developmet plan

Because tourism is a growth industry many countries see the promotion of tourism as a
development strategy. The development of tourism not only creates growth in the tertiary sector, but
it can also have a positive multiplier effect and cause growth in the primary and secondary sectors
as well.
Proposed Tourism Cluster
The selling points of Philippine tourism are its right geographical location and right attractions.
Added to this are the country’s tropical climate, maritime environment, rich cultural diversity,
proximity to major markets, friendly and hospitable people

Private Full-Day Shore Excursion Hidden Valley

Discover a paradise, neatly hidden between two mystical mountains and get close to nature on this
tour to Hidden Valley. Admire lush vegetation, waterfalls, and virgin forest before taking a dip in one
of the pools
Hidden Valley is a 44-hectare crater that was formed during fiery volcanic upheaval thousands of
years ago. From the cracks more than a hundred springs of varying temperature came to life
forming natural pools with the purest mineral waters believed to be medicinal and rejuvenating.
Trees and plants emerged from the shadowy heart of the crater, which undisturbed for centuries
went on to become giants reaching for the sunlight. On the far side of the crater the earth opened
into a gorge creating hidden waterfalls. Listen to the rhythm and sounds of swaying palms and ferns
accompanied by the gently cascading waters gushing forth from the mountainside. Hidden Valley is
home to at least 153 species of flora, most of which are endemic. The abundant greens, blooms
and foliage crowned by 300-year old Amlang trees are a glorious sight. Amongst the foliage a
number of paths link numerous spring-fed pools where you can relax and enjoy these wonderful
surroundings. Swimming or lazing by the pools is the main activity here. Lunch and afternoon
snacks will be served at resort’s pavilion before your transfer back to the port.

In this section we’ll present the most popular tourists spots and attractions in Laguna, so you can
pick the ones you like best. If you need more information about a specific item, just read its detailed
review, or contact us with any questions.
All these activities are perfect for a day tour out of Manila. You can also combine several, and
create your own custom Laguna package. Once you’ve selected everything, click the book now

many days it will require.

Pagsanjan Falls Day Tour

Pagsanjan Falls are one of the most famous waterfalls in the Philippines, and a huge tourist
attraction. It’s the most popular location for day tours in Laguna. Since the trip to the falls takes no
more than 3 hours, it’s certainly possible to squeeze in another activity in a single day. That is, if you
are willing to leave Manila early enough.
Pagsanjan is located just a few minutes away from Santa Cruz – and most resorts there offer the
boat ride to the falls. If you book the tour in advance through us, it will be slightly cheaper.
The tour includes an hour long kayak ride through a narrow canyon full with thick forests. The kayak
ride is actually the real highlight of the trip, as the view is spectacular. If your’e lucky, you might
even see some monkeys jumping between the trees. Once you reach the falls, you can take a raft
and go under it and into a small cave. You can swim for as long as you want, before heading back
to the kayak and making your way back.
If waterfalls are your idea of adventure, there is another option, which can even be combined with
Pagsanjan. Consider visiting the less famous Ambon-Ambon Falls as well. They are admittedly less

24
spectacular, but the advantage is you get there through a really fun trek in the jungles. Combining
the
two can make for a day full of nature and wildlife. There are many other waterfalls in Laguna, so if
you wish to stay overnight and explore more, just let us know.
Cavinti Underground River and Caves Complex
Cavinti is right next to Pagsanjan Falls, which are actually called Cavinti Falls as well. It’s very easy
to combine both destinations in a single day, and we strongly suggest you do just that. The only
problem is, Cavinti has so much to see that picking the places to visit could be tough. We’ll help you
figure out the activities your’e most likely to enjoy.
Those of you who have already been to the caves at Sagada or the Puerto Princesa underground
river, will find Cavinti’s caves to be quite similar. The difference here is that the water flow isn’t so
strong, so you can’t use a boat or a kayak and have to walk instead. Inside, you’ll see many
beautiful rock formations and small waterfalls, as you make your way through the 3 chambers.
Cavinti also has a nice old church, you can go inside and even climb the bell tower. Another nice
spot is the Japanese Garden at Caliray Lake. The garden was built by the Japanese government
back in 1970, to commemorate the deaths of all Japanese soldiers during WW2. Combined with the
fantastic view of the lake, this well maintained garden is really a nice stop during your day tour.

Seven Lakes of San Pablo

Lakes are the trademark of the Laguna province, and none compare to those of San Pablo City.
Surrounded by no less than 7 crater lakes, San Pablo is sure to take your breath away. This tour
focus is relaxation, since the main activity is just admiring the views. Swimming, cycling and
kayaking are also available at some of lakes.

We offer a complete seven lakes tour, which includes an overview of the area’s history and culture.
However, if your’e feeling brave enough, we can also help you rent a motorcycle and do the grand
tour yourself. It will take you between 3 to 4 hours to complete, and it’s a really nice experience.
The lakes are perfect for families and older people, who wish to spend a day relaxing at their
peaceful shores. Have a nice picnic by the lake, and spend your whole day enjoying the scenic
views and quiet atmosphere. You could also drop by Villa Escudero which is only 10km away from
San Pablo at the shores of Labasin Lake. The Villa, established in 1872, is a coconut plantation and
a hacienda – where visitors can visit a museum and learn about local history and culture.

Calamba Beaches
If you are in Laguna and looking for some beach fun, Calamba is the place to go. The beaches here
are wonderful, and full of fun activities and attractions. Wake-boarding, kite-surfing and all other
water sports, as well as extreme rides.
Calamba is also where most luxury beach resorts are located. You could have a really nice beach
experience, at a 5 star hotel, for much cheaper than at one of the popular islands and beaches.
Calamba is only 20 minutes away from Santa Rosa – where the Enchanted kingdom is located. This
is the best amusement park in the Philippines and a huge tourist attraction.
