Profile
GlucoTain® Clear is a mild surfactant with a good cleansing and wetting ability.
When used as a surfactant it is especially suitable for formulations featuring
light and fluffy foam such as refreshing, vitalizing showers, hand washes, men
showers and 2-in-1 shower & hair products. It is suitable for formulations
provided in foam dispensers as it has high flash foam.
GlucoTain® Clear is an excellent non-EO solubilizer as well as a performance
(foam) enhancing surfactant.
Mildness
GlucoTain® surfactants are amongst the mildest surfactants in the market. They
are extremely mild to both skin proteins and skin lipids and are therefore very
useful for formulations with mildness claims and for sensitive skin and hair.

Compatibility
GlucoTain® Clear is miscible with all types of surfactants (anionic, non-ionic,
cationic and amphoteric).
Shampoos, shower gels and liquid soaps with very good skin tolerability can be
produced by combining GlucoTain® Clear with primary foamers like Sodium
Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate or Sodium Cocoyl Methyl Taurate.
Formulations with GlucoTain® Care can be thickened with salt and all types of

A use level of 0.6 % to 6 % as solubilizer (0.3 to 3 % active) and performance
enhancer is recommended.
Formulation advice
GlucoTain® Clear can be added to any step of the process.
Storage and Shelf Life
GlucoTain®Clear can be stored at room temperature.
The shelf life is at least two years when stored in tightly closed containers at
room temperature in a clear and aerated place. After this period the product
should be analysed for extension of the shelf life.
Preservation
No preservative is added to GlucoTain® Clear as it is self preserving.
