Comparison of Characteristic Curve Temperature Sensor KTY84-130 and PT1000

The document compares temperature sensors KTY84-130 and PT1000, noting that PT1000 has advantages including being widely used with a standardized curve, having multiple manufacturers, not requiring new hardware as its curve can be adapted via software, and having a simpler linear resistance curve.

Comparison of Characteristic Curve

Temperature Sensor KTY84-130 and PT1000

Advantages PT1000
• PT1000 is very comparable with KTY
• PT1000 is a widespread component with
standardized characteristic curve (IEC 60751)
• There are several manufacturers
• No new hardware for evaluation is necessary
(only adaption of characteristic curve in
software)
• Characteristic curve distinctly easier (linear
resistance)
