Batch Numbering System

The imprint on pharmaceutical blisters and bottle labels includes a batch number from 001-999, an expiry date code with the expiry month as two digits and the last two digits of the expiry year. For example, 01E1110 represents batch number 01 expiring in November 2022. Overprinting on additional packaging includes the batch number, manufacturing date as MMM YYYY, and expiry date as MMM YYYY for full traceability of the specific batch and its expiration date.

BATCH NUMBERING SYSTEM ON THE BLISTER

The imprint on the edge of blister, label of bottles will carry the following letters meaning

00 E XX YY

00 = Batch number (Numeric value) will start from 01 up to 99, then 100 up to 999.

E = Expiry date

XX= Expiry Month (Numeric) Up to 12

YY= Last two digits of the Expiry Year (01, 02).

i.e. 01E1110 or 101E1010

OVER PRINTING ON LABEL, CARTONS AND MASTER CARTONS

For over printing batch no, expiry date and manufacturing date on label, carton and master
carton we will follow the under mentioned fashion:

Batch N0: 01

MFG: NOV 2010

EXP: NOV 2012

The above batch no applies to a batch prepared in November 2010 and its sequence no is 01
owing to the first batch & it will expire on November 2012.
