 Background of the Organisation (How it started, when it started, who started it).
 Vision and Mission (discuss the mandate of the organisation)
 Organisational Values
 Organisational Structure (Give a description of the organisation’s organogram;
departments)
Chapter Two
Programming Profile of the Organisation
 Describe and discuss the programmes, projects and activities being done by the
organisation
 You can use diagrams to further illuminate your programming profile
 As you give the programming profile of the organisation you must undertake a SWOT
analysis of the operations of the organisation.
 Highlight the major achievements of the organisation as well as highlight the major
operational weaknesses of the organisation from a Development Management
Perspective.
Chapter Three
Student’s Work Profile

 Discuss the major tasks, duties and responsibilities you were given during your period
of attachment.
 As you do so, you should also show the relevance/linkage between these major tasks,
duties and responsibilities and the Degree Programme.
 You must also highlight the major lessons you learnt as you were undertaking these
tasks, duties and responsibilities during your period of attachment.
 You can also highlight areas of Development that you were exposed to and would like
to pursue further for the purposes of your research project from level 4:1 onwards
 You can also highlight any challenges you encountered as you were undertaking these
tasks and duties.

In this chapter you are required to give recommendations to:


 The organisation you were working for, so as to help it enhance its programming
prowess.
 The Department of Development Studies, so as to help us better prepare the next

process of learning during the attachment period.
