*Ethernet com:In the above Figure 3, IP refers to the IP address of the LED sign;Port is
the gateway. If there is no gateway, please just input 4 digits. Then please set
the Group Address and Unit Address. If you have forgotten these addresses,
please just input 00.
*Serial port com:Under Serial Port, please select the proper serial port through which
the computer communicates with the LED sign. Set the Group Address and
the Unit Address in the same way as described above.
*After setting, you can click on the button OK and the setting is done. If the computer
can communicate with the LED sign, the above Fig.3 and Fig. 4 dialogue boxes
will disappear. If the communication fails, Fig.5 will pop up. In such case, plese
check the connection between the computer and the LED sign, or the
communication settings.
(Fig. 5)
2.Setting the Size of the Editor
Open File\Editor Setting as shown in Fig.6. Set the width and height of the editor to
exactly the width and height of the LED sign as defined by display pixels. If you
happen to have set editor’s width and height larger than the width and height of the
8
LED sign, some contents will not be displayed as they exceed the borders of the LED
sign.
(Fig. 6)
3.Create New Display Information
①Read back the message list from the LED sign:Click the Read button in the
Tool Bar. Why must we read back the message list form the Led sign? Please refer
to the 2nd point in the following section Msg NO Setting.
②Creating a new display message. Click the Add button in the Tool Bar.
Then fill in the dialogue box as shown in the Figure 7.
(Fig. 7)
Msg Type:There are two kinds of message types, one being changeable and the
other being volatile. Changeable messages will remain in the LED
sign even after power is disconnected, whereas volatile messages
will be lost after power is disconnected.
Msg NO:These are the serial numbers of the messages in the LED sign. There
can be maximum 128 changeable messages, with numbers being 1‐128.
There can only be 4 volatile messages, with numbers being 1‐4. The serial
numbers which you have read back from the LED sign cannot be re‐created.
They can only be modified. This serial number is an exclusive one in the
LED sign. However, if you have not read back the message list from the LED
sign, you can create a new message list and use any number from 1‐128. In
9
such case, when you send the newly created message numbers to the LED
sign, it will automatically replace the same number that has been on the
LED sign. This is very important. You must always remember to read back
the message list from the LED sign before creating new display messages.
Otherwise, the original messages will be overwritten.
Remark: There are permanent messages in the display list. Those messages are
for the use of the LED displays and cannot be erased.
③To add display contents in the editing area, please select the newly created
message and press the Add button at the bottom.
Pressing the button each time will add one frame of display
contents. If one message has to be displayed in several frames, please
add the contents one frame by one frame. After pressing the Add button,
please input the contents you want to display. The following figure shows
the status at this stage.

④The inserting button and its functions:
*To insert a picture:Please click the button \Picture as shown in Fig. 9. The X and Y
at the lower left corner refer to the position on the LED sign where the picture
begins to display. The X value + the width of the picture cannot exceed the
width of the LED sign, and the Y value + the height of the picture cannot exceed
the height of the picture. (For example, the width x height of the LED sign is
64x48,and the width x height of the picture is 40x30, then X+40≦64 and
Y+30≦48). The inserted picture can be modified in the display preview area by
right‐clicking.(The pictures can only be inserted from the picture library. For
introduction will follow in later sections about the management of the
pictures.)
11
(Fig. 9)
* To insert time, date, temperature, etc.. Click the button \Special Object
as shown in Figure 10, and select the content block you want to insert.
Sometimes you will see that inserting performed. This may be because
that the font you select for the editing area is too large to fit into the LED
area. Please select a smaller size font in such circumstance. The content
inserted is indicated by a black dot in the editing area. If you are not
satisfied with the inserted content, you can right click the black dot and
then select “property” to modify it.
12
(图 10)
* To insert moving characters:Please click the button \Move text, and you
will see a pop‐up window as shown in Figure 11. Please refer to Table 4
for descriptions of functions. What differences are there between the
characters inserted here and those inserted in the editing area? In the
editing area, your input characters cannot exceed the size of the LED
sign. What is more, you cannot move the characters. However, the
characters you insert here can be larger than the LED sign. If the
characters you insert are larger than the size of the LED sign, the
characters will move. The inserted content is represented by a black dot
in the editing area. If you are not satisfied with the inserted content, you
can right click the black dot and enter “property” to modify the content.

cannot exceed the width of the LED sign. If there is
other content in the same line that has inserted
content, the area that allows moving characters to
move will be reduced.
Mode of display. It includes circular display or linear
display.
Delayed time duration of display. The unit of delayed
time duration is x100ms.
Direction of character movement.
(Table 4)
Remark:If the stop time of a frame on the LED sign is too short, you might
see a repetition of display even before one frame is completely
displayed. In such a case, you only need to set the stop time
to be a little bit longer.
14
4. To send the contents to the LED sign.
Press the Send button in the Tool Bar, and you can send the whole play
list to the LED sign. If you only want to add one message, you don’t need to click
the button to send it, because all the other messages are already in the LED
sign. In such a case, you only need to right click the message, and select the
command to send the message. The
sending, this message will be displayed for you to view the display effect. If you
are still not satisfied, you can further modify it. See Figure 12. Figure 13 is the
property page.
messages.
2. As you have come to this step, the LED sign can display contents. However,
the LED sign can only display one message. If you want to the LED sign to
display more messages, you need to use the scheduling function. Every
time after the edited messages are displayed, you need to send the
schedule once more. Otherwise, the display of the edited messages will
stop. There are explanations about the use of the scheduling function in
the following sections.
