PART TIME EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT


This employment agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into and executed on Feb. 7, 2019 at
Calamba City, Laguna, by and between the following:

Chateau Lauxumme, a corporation duly organized and existing under the laws of the
Republic of the Philippines, with principal place of business at Lot 5, Block 22, Barangay
Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna, as represented herein by its Human Resource Officer,
MR. NOEL MELGAR A. GALANG, hereinafter referred to as the “Employer”;

- and -

MR. ELLIJAH ONG, Filipino Citizen, of legal age, with address at No. 1234 XYZ
Street, Brgy. Sta. Elena, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines, hereinafter referred to
as the “Employee”;

WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, the Employer is engaged in the business of Hospitality Service and is in need of a
CHEF, primarily for the purpose of include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-
quality dishes;

WHEREAS, the Employee guarantees, declares, and warrants that s/he has the necessary
qualifications and is competent for the said position;

WHEREAS, due to the above representations, the Employer offers the Employee the above-
mentioned position as a PART TIME EMPLOYEE;

NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the parties hereby
agree as follows:

1. Employment Period
- The employment commences on FEB. 7, 2019 provided that the following pre-
employment requirements have been accomplished and submitted prior to the 1 st day of
work: FEB. 6, 2019. Unless otherwise directed, the ordinary working hours shall be for
SEVEN (7) hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour meal break. The ordinary
workdays shall be from Monday to Saturday except as otherwise instructed.

2. Compensation
- The Employee’s gross compensation is Php 312.57 per day, amounting to the total of
Php 8,126.82 per month computed on a 26 day monthly working schedule. After
deductions, the net income shall be payable every 15th and 30th of the month.

3. Rest day/Work day


- The Employer reserves it right to call on Employees on a rest day. Employees who shall
work on a rest day shall be compensated accordingly to their stipulated and agreed
salaries per day.

4. Premium Pay

- Employees shall be entitled to premium payments for night shifts, overtime pay, special
days or holidays worked.

- Employees working in excess their agreed number of working hours per day shall be
compensated accordingly on an hour base rate on top of their daily wage;

- Employees required to work on days not considered as a working day shall be


compensated accordingly as to the nature of the worked day.

5. Duties and Responsibilities –

- The Employee hereby consents to be assigned primarily the following duties and
responsibilities being limited thereto. The Employer reserves the right to appoint the
Employee to other tasks and responsibilities:

 Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like


knives, pans and kitchen scales
 Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
 Cook food in a timely manner
 Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
 Inform wait staff about daily specials
 Ensure appealing plate presentation
 Supervise Cooks and assist as needed
 Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and
requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
 Monitor food stock and place orders
 Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
 Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
 Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
within the kitchen area

6. Benefits
- Employee is entitled to Service Incentive Leave (SIL) of five (5) days with pay for every
one year of service;
- Employee is entitled to 13 th month pay which shall be given to them on or before 24 th of
December each year. This will be equivalent to one-twelft (1/12) of the basic salary
earned in a calendar year;
- Employee is also entitled to other Government Mandated Benefits

7. Violations and Disciplinary Actions –


- Except as otherwise modified in the company policies, labor law grounds for
disciplinary action, including termination, is hereby adopted and incorporated by
reference.

8. Taxes, Government Contributions, Authority to Deduct


- The Employee hereby agrees to deductions authorized by law, including but not limited
to, withholding tax, SSS, Philhealth, Pag-IBIG, debts owing to the Employer, and all
other analogous deductions.

9. Company Policies
- The Employee hereby agrees and consents to the terms and conditions stated in
company policies, which are incorporated herein by reference and made an integral part
hereof.

10. Entirety of Agreement

- The parties hereby agree that this Agreement and those which are incorporated herein
by reference constitute the entire employment contract and supersedes all prior
arrangements, whether verbal or written.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have signed this agreement on the above date.
