JOB DESCRIPTION
Ensure smooth operations of the Finance & Operations Department which include accounting, budgeting,
treasury, taxation functions for YAHB and PHB’s group of companies and unit trust operations of AHB.
Prepare/review papers for meetings of Board of Directors, Audit Committee, Investment Committee, Board
Risk Committee and any other meetings as instructed.
Assist Group Chief Financial Officer in the meetings of the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, Investment
Committee, Board Risk Committee and other meetings when required.
Review/conduct feasibility study (in collaboration with Operations Division) on potential property
acquisition/development including preparation of financial projections.
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the
users and in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRSs).
Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including Income Tax and Sales and
Services Tax
Ensure adequate supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Board's Audit Committee
and the external auditors as necessary.
Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
Ensure proper and accurate financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts
receivable, general ledger, credit control, and petty cash.
Oversee the book keeping functions including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable and
accounts receivable.
Oversee the treasury functions ensuring returns on money market placements are optimised and liquidity
requirements are monitored.
Oversee the monitoring of the unit trust operations by working closely with the Fund Manager.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure
and stored in compliance with current legislation.
Undertake other relevant tasks as instructed by the Management from time to time.
