WORKPLACE INSPECTION CHECKLIST – WORKSHOP ENVIRONMENT

Use this checklist to assist you when completing routine workplace inspections of your workshop environment.
Carrying out regular workplace inspections is one way to identify workplace hazards. Any serious or ongoing
hazards should be reported via RiskWare to ensure that appropriate corrective actions are tracked and completed .

1. Equipment

Oxyacetylene cylinders used and stored secured in
upright position
Flashback arrestors fitted to all oxyacetylene
equipment
Pressure gauges on oxyacetylene cylinders in

Bench grinder wheels regularly dressed and tool
rests correctly adjusted
Compressed air has fixed guarding around the
moving parts and sign posted
Operational controls clearly identified and within
reach of operators
Emergency stop buttons clearly identified and
coloured RED
Certificate of Registration for “registrable plant” is
made available and up-to-date
