RATIONALE
Our country and the world at large are facing new challenges brought
about by this unforeseen public health crisis. COVID-19 pandemic is a case in
point and preparing for a pandemic is challenging because of a multitude of
factors, many of which are unique among natural disasters, given the economic
pain and burden to the lives of people. This pandemic is a tough challenge to
the presents technical, diplomatic and budgetary obstacles as well as demanding
partnerships between public and private sectors. In addition, building pandemic
situational awareness is complex, requiring coordination across bureaucracies,
public and private sectors, that is supported by adequate coordination system is
a fundamental need.

As we continue to confront the issues brought about by pandemic, San

Andres NHS are addressing challenges in the basic education through the
Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) which will be in effect by this school year
2020-2021, opens on August 24,2020. The School LCP is our major response
and our commitment in ensuring the health safety and well-being of our
learners, teachers and personnel in the time of COVID-19 while finding ways
for education to continue despite of this crisis.

The school LCP which lays down the ground work for education to
continue during this pandemic. San Andres NHS aims to provide opportunities
for education leaders and mentors to strengthen their capabilities in aiding our
learners in the continuity on the delivery of the K-12 Curriculum.

School leaders must address the significant knowledge gaps that exist
regarding educational preparedness and responses, bridging the gaps can
improve preparedness and response through-evidence-based decision making
and support efforts to employ learning continuity to learners.

The school need an organized system to screen teaching-learning

approach in a swift and standardized manner. The school-leader repeatedly
consulted and collaborated with our front liners in education-the teachers- in
crafting the SANHS’ LCP which includes key feature of the roadmap
specifically learning modalities, strategic intervention in modular-distant

learning method, and other adjustments for the continuity of the K-12
curriculum for the current year. Such modification on certain policies and
practices were necessary steps in adapting to the “New Normal”.

Our school determine the most-appropriate combinations or strategies

as we look into addressing equity concerns of our constituents in the new
arrangement and it is our ultimate goal to facilitate the health and safety of the
learners.

Such strategies must be tailored to the school local context. There are
actions that school leaders should be taking now, there is no time to waste in the
preparation of the necessary requirements, learning materials and equipment
needed. Furthermore, the school will need to take responsibility on the
procurement and distributions of the needed learning materials to the students’
populations.

All this steps and mechanisms would help address the current needs of
the learner. The school made systematic strategies in order to respond more
efficiently and effectively.

This paper aims to provide technical solutions and strategic

interventions to address the needs of the learners and achieve the consensus of
educational system during this current pandemic outbreak.
