Mean Deviation Lesson Plan and Activities
I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
a. define mean deviation;
b. state the formula of mean deviation;
c. compute the mean deviation of grouped data.
III. Procedure
a. Preliminaries
b. Motivation:
Let the students write words that they can formed based on the jumbled letters.
Let the students guess the title of the lesson based on the words they formed
Let the students answer the activity sheet 1 involving distribution table.
Let them discover and state the formula in finding the mean deviation of grouped data.
Let the students report to the class on their findings on their activity and guide them in arriving at
the correct computation of their answer.
d. Generalization:
Let the students state the formula and procedures in finding the mean deviation.
IV. Evaluation
Let the students answer activity sheet 2.
V. Assignment
Research on Standard Deviation.
