Content Standards: 1. Demonstrates understanding of lifestyle and weight management to
promote societal fitness
Performance Standards: 1.Maintains an active lifestyle to influence the physical activity
participation of the community and society.
2. Practices healthy eating habits that support an active lifestyle.
I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to;
1. Perform the essentials of cheer dancing. (PE10PF-IVc-h-45)
II. Subject Matter:
 Topic: Cheerdance
 Materials: Laptop, Smart TV, upbeat music.
 Reference: You tube (internet) P. E. Grade 10 Learner’s Material
III. Procedures:
A. Preliminaries
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Checking of Attendance
 Motivation (The teacher will conduct a 5 minutes warm- up exercise
and let the students a watch a video in cheerdance.)
 Review
B. Lesson Proper
A. Activity
The teacher will group the class into two. Each group will discuss
and perform the essentials in cheerdance. The teacher will give
the students 5 minutes to practice.
Analysis
1. What were the dance presentations you performed
about?
2. How could you perform better?
3. How can a student like you benefit from performing
cheer dances?
B. Abstraction
Cheerdance
Is coined form the words, cheer and dance. To
cheer is to shout out words or phrases that may help
motivate and boost the morale of the playing team and
perform better during game. Dance, on the other hand, is
a physical activity where one expresses emotions or
gestures while performing bodily movements usually in
time with rhythm.

Essentials of Cheerdancing

1. Arms/hand movements
-Beginning stance and cheer stance
-“T” and half ”T” positions.
-Clasp, clap, overhand clasp, low, clasp
- Touchdown, low touchdown
- High “V” and low “V”
-Tabletop and punch, etc.
- “L” and diagonal positions

2. Legs/feet positions
- Feet Together
- Feet Apart
- Hitch, Liberty, and Scale
- Lunge (front and side)
- Knees and Hips positions

d. Application
In the same group, the students will go back to their first activity,
to create two minute cheerdance routine using the essentials of
cheerdancing of each group.

CRITERIA – Mastery 25%


- Participation 25%
- Performance 50%
EVALUATION
Perform the essentials of cheer dancing.
1. “T” position 6. Hitch,
2. half ”T” position. 7. Scale
3. Clasp, 8. Lunge (front)
4. overhand clasp 9. Feet Together
5. High “V” and low “V” 10. liberty

IV. Assignment
In ½ sheet of paper what are the cheerdance basics in gymnastic side
and cheerdance basics in dance side.
