Question: Two Steel Plates Have Been Welded Together To Form A Beam in The Shape of A T That Has Been Stren..

Two steel plates welded into a T-shape had two oak timbers bolted to it to form a composite beam. The beam is subjected to a bending moment of 50 kNm about a horizontal axis. The task is to determine the transformed section dimensions, position of the neutral axis from the bottom, second moment of the transformed section, maximum stress in the oak, and stress in the top steel.

Please I need a full answer

Two steel plates have been welded together to form a beam in the shape of a T that has been
strengthened by securely bolting to it the two oak timbers shown in Fog. 3. The modulus of
elasticity is 12.5 GPa for the wood and 200 GPa for the steel. Knowing that a bending moment
M = 50 kNm is applied about a horizontal axis to the composite beam, determine sketch the
transformed section with dimensions; the position of the neutral axis (Y) measured from the
bottom surface; the second moment of the transformed section; the maximum stress in the oak
timber; the stress in the steel along the top edge.
