Operating Notes
GENERAL
• Diagram shows FTdx3000 operation and source for WSJT with RSP as pan adapter and source for station info and DRM decoding

• Source and Destination connections can be changed to suit particular combinations of modes and hardware in use

• Best to only have one CAT and one ORIG connection active at any one time to avoid potential contention

• FLEX can use all features (CSVUB/WSJT/MPSK/DREAM) but each has to be set up separately

• Ensure Windows sound settings are reverted to standard input and outputs if not using for radio

• Assumed SDRuno/PowerSDR is using the native laptop screen and other software uses external monitor
FT3K
• For data reception change FT3K menu settings 103 SSB MIC SELECT = USB and 180 VOX SELECT = DATA (return to FRONT and MIC)

• For data reception change FT3K panel settings to AGC = OFF and IF Width to max width (return to AUTO and mid point)
WSJT
• If using WSJT with FT3K do not use RSP as panadapter and ensure SDRuno not active to avoid any contentions

• In WSJT use PTT = CAT and SPLIT = FAKE IT and ensure correct audio connections even if some audio is seen

• Use Meinberg NTP status command (run>cmd>ntpq -p) to check that a reference source is starred and that the offset is < 5

• Start GridTracker when confirmed decoding OK

• Screens are set up assuming second monitor is attached and no other apps are active on that monitor

• Switch connections from WSJT to MPSK for other data modes

MSPK
• Easier to use manual transmit controls using MOX on rig and transmit buttons on MPSK panel
CSVUB
• Update database using Web>Downloader/Converter (check auto download) then File>Import EIBI/HFCC/AOKI database txt file
ORIG
• Check settings by starting app via windows key or via CSVUB menu External>Omnirig Setup

• Settings should be FT dx3000 / COM 4 / 38400 / 8 / None / 1 / High / high / 100 / 100
