Project: The Wilmont’s Pharmacy Drone Revision No.: 001


Revision Date: 30 June 2020.
Purpose:
The purpose of this project is to create a more efficient and reliable way of delivering
prescriptions and drugstore items by using a flying drone. The future benefits of successful
execution includes successful long-term relationship with a large-scale company like
Wilmont’s.
Project Goals:
The goals for this project includes: finishing the project on time keeping the the bugdet under
control and staying within a defined scope. Also to ensure quality by creating adequate drones
with trained and efficient pilots to control the drones to their destination.

Project Scope Description:


• Product Scope – The features or characteristics of the drone includes the color which
will be painted in the Wilmont’s corporate colors and logo, a temperature‐controlled
product bagging system along with a bubble‐type cushioning system for the customer
delivery packaging in order to ensure that certain temperature‐sensitive or breakable
items are not affected by the delivery process.

• Services Scope - DroneTech will provide the drone technology as well as the drone
piloting and delivery systems, but will customize its systems and business process to
conform to Wilmont’s requirements.

Primary Deliverables: The primary deliverables include: 4 drones, mobile app, website
wireframe generated for the development team, proposal.

Deliverable Acceptance Criteria: For the drones the criteria to be met is to condition the drone
to a temperature‐controlled product bagging system along with a bubble‐type cushioning system
for the customer delivery packaging in order to ensure that certain temperature‐sensitive or
breakable items are not affected by the delivery process
The mobile app and website needs to be customized for Wilmont’s so that customers don’t see
these as two separate companies. The app needs to interface the systems to Wilmont’s so that
customers are not going directly to DroneTech’s normal customer websites or mobile
applications. Interface communications about deliveries for Wilmont’s customers electronically
through email, online, and through mobile alerts as the customer requests.
The proposal should include a contract and payment plan, a budget, the customized special
technology needed for delivery and drone control.

Constraints:
⚫ The project should be under a total of $750,000
Assumptions: It is assumed that the staffing list should be taken from the two company’s.
Also it is assumed that wilmont’s already has a website which just needs to be updated to
accommodate the changes.

Key Milestones: The milestones for this project are:


⚫ Project schedule should begin January 5
⚫ Schedule constraints as per the case for completion should be met and not exceeded.
⚫ Total Project Cost should not exceed Project Constraints.
⚫ Project schedule should end on or before November 30.
