BRAC Bank Internet Banking FAQ

1. Who can apply for Internet Banking (IB)?


All resident and non-resident customers of BRAC Bank (Retail, Probashi, Proprietorship Account
Holders and Joint Account Holders with either or survivor mode) may apply for Internet
Banking. In terms of joint account holders (operating in either or survivor mode), only one of
the applicants will be entitled for requesting and receiving all Internet Banking associated
services.

2. How do I apply for IB?

Two ways to apply our Internet banking facility.


 A customer may visit any branch and fill up an Internet Banking application form or
download the Form from the official website of BRAC Bank Limited (BBL);

Customer must:
 Fill up the Internet Banking application form with accurate information
 Be physically present at the branch to submit his/her Internet Banking application form
to a customer service officer
 Self-registration option : Internet Banking is having the feature where customer can register
online from his/her desk and instantly get the access

For registering customer need the below information:

· 16 Digit Current / Savings account number


· Active Debit card number & PIN
· Registered Mobile Number & email address

3. Does a new accountholder have to fill up a separate Internet Banking request form?
Yes, each and every customer has to fill up a separate IB request form for IB service
registration.

4. What are the documents needed to apply for Internet Banking?


No additional documentation is required for resident customers. However, a non-resident
customer can visit any branch to apply for Internet Banking while he /she is in Bangladesh. For
customers who are residing outside Bangladesh, please refer to # 2.

 It’s safe and easy.
 It is fast. It only take minutes to get updated on your account information and complete
a banking transaction.
 You can access your BRAC Bank accounts 24 hours of the day, 365 days of the year.
 You can access your BRAC Bank account from anywhere in the world. As long as you can
access the internet, you can access your BRAC Bank account.
 We have wide range of services. Moreover we will progressively add more services for
your convenience.

6. Can I access my BRAC Bank account from overseas?


Yes, you can access your BRAC bank Account from anywhere in the world via BRAC bank
internet banking.
7. What Services can I get from BRAC Bank Internet Banking?
The main services that BRAC Bank offers through internet banking are
 Account detail
 Fund transfer
 Bill payment

8. What is the annual fee for BRAC Bank Internet Banking?


At present, it is absolutely free!! (However, BRAC BANK holds the right to apply charges
anytime.)

9. What will happen if I forget my internet banking password or my internet banking id is


locked?
If you forget your internet banking id or your internet banking id is locked you can set a new
password by clicking “Forget password/ID locked?” option in login screen.
Or. You can call our 24 hours call center number 16221. If the customer resides outside Bangladesh,
he/she must call +88 02 55668056 or +88-02-55668055

10. Can I see a summary of my accounts?


Yes, you can see a detailed summary of your account and the accounts synchronized to your
account.

11. Can I view the transaction history of my accounts?


Yes, you can view the account statement as per your selected period or your selected dates.

13. Can I email my statement?


Yes, you can mail your statement to your registered email or to a 3rd party email address.

14. How Far Back I can view my transaction history?


You can generate your account statement up to 6 month.

Yes, you can view the statement sharing history.

16. Can I view my credit card statement?


Yes, you can view your unbilled, billed and payment statement.

17. Can I download my credit card statement?


Yes, you can download your credit card statement.

18. Can I pay my credit card bill through internet banking?


Yes, you can pay your credit card bill from your account via BRAC Bank Internet Banking.

19. What kind of funds transfer can I do in BRAC Bank Internet Banking?
You can transfer funds between your own BRAC Bank account to another BRAC Bank account or
other bank accounts.

20. Can I Transfer Funds to other bank through BRAC Bank Internet Banking?
Yes, you can transfer funds to other bank account through NPSB or BEFTN.

21. What is NPSB?


NPSB is an instant fund transfer service from which an account holder can transfer funds to
other IBFT member banks instantly any day 24/7.

22. What is BEFTN?


BEFTN is a fund transfer service from which an account holder can transfer fund to any other
registered bank in Bangladesh.

23. What is Beneficiary?


Beneficiary refers to the account details/Card details to whom the fund transfer or bill payment
is to be made.

24. What does “Add Beneficiary” means?

Add Beneficiary means pre-registering the account details before the fund transfer/bill
payment process.

25. Can I edit or remove any beneficiary?


Yes, you can edit or remove any beneficiary at any time.

26. What is one-off transfer?


In one-off transfer, customer can transfer funds without pre-registering the account details in
the beneficiary list.

27. When will the funds be available in the receiving account after I do fund transfer within
BRAC Bank?
Fund Transfer within BRAC Bank will take effect right after the transaction.

28. When will the funds be available in the receiving account after I do fund transfer within
other banks in Bangladesh?
In NPSB account transfer funds will be immediately transferred to the receiving account. But in
BEFTN account transfer it may take some time.

29. What is the transaction limit for fund transfer?

30. Can you reverse a transaction if you have made a wrong transaction?

As per the Terms & Conditions of Internet Banking, each and every transaction is actually made by the

Customer and he/she has agreed to the condition that BRAC Bank doesn’t reserve any right to reverse

Transfer from any beneficiary account. Customer conducts all transactions at his/her own risk.

However, if any anomaly occurs, then the customer is requested to notify the bank immediately through any

of the following ways:

Call and report the incident to our 24-hour Call Center 16221. For overseas caller +880 2 55668056

Submit a written communication at any nearest Branch

31. Can you transfer funds from BDT account to Foreign Currency (FCY) account or vice versa? If so how?

No. At this time, fund transfer from BDT account to FCY account or vice versa is not allowed.

32. To make fund transfer and payments secured, can you offer 2nd Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Yes, We have offer 2nd Factor Authentication (2FA) that is SMS OTP and it is absolutely Free of Cost.

33. Is it mended to register for internet banking?

No. Only if a customer intends to avail Internet Banking services, he/she can register by following the

Internet Banking registration process. However, if a user has internet connection, we highly recommend
the usage of internet banking as it simplifies one’s banking experience and minimizes the hassle of
physically going to the branch.

34. What do you do in case of any problem regarding Internet Banking services?
