Example: An anthem is s song that represents the club.


Fans often sing their club anthem at matches
to encourage their team.

Example: Booing is when fans shout the word boo. This

Action: cross
Example: When you cross the ball, you send it from the
wing towards the strikers in the middle.
Wingers are often good at crossing the ball.

Example: When you head the ball, you strike it with the
front of your head (your forehead). Centre-
backs and strikers are usually good at heading
the ball.

Example: A goal kick is given when an attacker sends
the ball out of play over the goal line. The goal

Example: When you backheel the ball, you use the heel
of your foot to kick the ball behind you.
Backheels can be used to trick defenders.

Fouls: tripping

Example: Tripping is when one player tries to make


another player trip up. This is when they try to
make their opponent fall by putting their foot in
front of their opponents foot.

Example: Swearing is using abusive language. If a player
uses bad language, especially towards another
player, the referee can show the player a red
card.
