SITA - Mitreeki East Africa

Interview profiling and needs assessment tool for Entrepreneurs

Background

Supporting Indian Trade and Investment for Africa (SITA) is a project financed by the United
Kingdoms’ Department for International Development (DFID) and runs from 2015-2021.

SITA’s outcome is to improve the competitiveness of select value chains: coffee, cotton, textiles and
apparel (CTA), pulses, spices, sunflower oil, leather, Information Technology Enabled Service-
Business Process Outsourcing (IT-ES BPO) and emerging sectors of five East African countries:
Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and the United Republic of Tanzania through the provisions of
partnerships from institutions and business from India.

The sixth year (April 2020 - March 2021) of SITA’s implementation will see activities covering trade
and investment promotion and matchmaking as well as capacity building across sectors and
solutions for value-added production being developed.

SITA has engaged experts to design a comprehensive curriculum for in-depth needs-based training
for agro-processing entrepreneurs in Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

The purpose of this interview is to profile you and your business as a potential beneficiary to the
training and to assess your knowledge and skills needs for consideration to be included in the
training curriculum.
