At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

Title: “Guess the Missing Letter”

Directions: One students in the classroom will be called


to answer the missing letters, if the student’s answer is
correct he/she will guess the other letter until he/she finish it
and if the student’s answer is wrong he/she will call
someone in the class to answer the following blanks.
IV. Content

Socio-cultural Influence on Learning

 Learning is influenced by various social and cultural


factors.
 Social and cultural influence on the cognitive processes
occur when our emotion, opinions, or behaviors are
influence by significant others.
 There are five factors of socio-cultural that influences
on the learning:

 Parental Involvement home e

 Parents have direct influence in the learning of
their kids. If they are educated, they could guide
their kids well in their schooling. If they were not
able to finish their studies, they could inspire their
children to be motivated in school.
 Parenting styles and child-rearing
 This refers to the interaction between parents and
children. It could be to know enough about the
child so to motivate him. It could also be to make
the child internalize the parents’ goals and values.
It could also be to motivate children by valuing
hard work and persistence.
 Specific experiences at home
 This refers to the practices done at home by the
parents to facilitate the learning of their children.
 Peer influence
 This refers to the influence in learning brought
about by peers.
 Teachers
 Teachers are important people in learning
process. Ever since we are kids, we have been
under the guidance of teachers up to college. We
attribute most of our learning from our teachers.
Some of them even inspired us why we chose our
course now.
