Matched Filter Demodulator

1) The matched filter is a linear filter designed to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of a known transmitted signal corrupted by additive white noise. 2) It works by correlating the received signal with a template signal to extract the transmitted signal. 3) The impulse response of the optimum or matched filter is proportional to the time-reversed complex conjugate of the transmitted signal. This makes the output SNR a maximum.
