    1. INTRODUCTION

    This document provides the technical details for the wash water recirculation water pump for
    crude oil treatment on AKAL J1, located in the Campeche area for PEMEX.

    2. WASH WATER RECIRCULATION PUMP

    The wash water recirculation water pump, BA-3101 and BA-3102 has the function of re-
    circulating served wash water from the Desalters DE-3103 and DE-3103 to aid the desalting
    process in a temporary basis. This is because the wash water mixing system is not 100%
    efficient.

    Its operation will be in execution any time the flowrate of desalinated water coming from the
    reverse osmosis plant is under normal conditions. The re-circulated served water has much lower
    salinity than the produced water; therefore the dehydration system will not be affected if this
    temporary operation is done while the ROP is at lower flowrate.

    3. WASH WATER RECIRCULATION PUMP FEATURES

    The wash water recirculation water pump, BA-3101 and BA-3102 are provided with the following

     Constructed with all CD4MCu duplex SS liquid end & solid 2205 duplex SS shaft

     3” 150 # RF ANSI suction flange, 1.5” 150 # RF ANSI discharge flange

     Oil bath lubricated SKF ball bearings with INPRO labyrinth isolators

     Burgmann ASTN single cartridge mechanical seal with flush, quench & drain connections,
    carbon vs. SiC, 316SS, Viton

     Plan 11 seal flush with 316SS tubing and Swagelok double ferrule fittings

     Dodge D-Flex spacer coupling with AGMA class 9 balanced hubs & 3.5” spacer

     Non-metallic, non-sparking OHSA coupling guard
