INTRODUCTION

Pulsar Multimídia offers an excellent tool for the radio’s sweepers, jingles and IDs’ management.
Click on the icon to open the program.

You will see the following screen:

Click on the menu Programs and Sweepers’ Entry. You will see the following screen:

Enter the user’s name and password and click on Ok to log in.

REGISTERING A SWEEPER, JINGLE OR ID


You need to register a sweeper’s program before creating a new sweeper, jingle or ID.
Click on the menu File  Open or press Ctrl + A.

You will see the following screen:

Click the button to register a new program. A sequential code will be generated automatically.
Type now the program’s name and click on the button to save it
If you want to exclude a program, highlight it and click on the button .

Now you can enter a sweeper, jingle or ID. Click on the menu File  New or press Ctrl + N to
create a new sweeper.

Enter the title in the following field:

Press Enter and go to the next field. Now enter the type of sweeper, jingle or ID you want to
register:

Through: It means that the sweeper will play in sequence, following the schedule, that is, the next
item of the schedule will start playing only when the sweeper is over.
Bridge: It means that the sweeper will start playing on top of the next song’s intro.
Open Break: It will be placed before the commercial break.
Close Break: It will be placed at the end of the commercial break.
V Time-of-Day: Time-of-day sweepers.
S Temperature: Temperature sweepers.
Press Enter to go to the next field. Fill the field ‘Código MD/CD’ in case you want to link a CD or MD
code, as shown below:

Press Enter to go to the next field. Double click on the media field area to select the media
you want to register. The Client Setup folder where you configured the sweeper, jingle or ID will be
opened.

You can select wave or mp3 files. Select it and click on OK. Press Enter to save the
sweeper, jingle or ID.

Press the Yes button to finish the sweeper’s registration.

EDITING A SWEEPER, JINGLE OR ID


Click the sweeper, jingle or ID you want to edit, change the data you want and click the Save button
to to finish the process. You will see the following message.

Click the Yes button to finish.

SETTING THE SWEEPER, JINGLE OR ID’S INTRO AND OUTRO


You can edit the sweeper, jingle or ID by setting the intro and the ending. The edition window is
located at the bottom of the sweeper’s registration window, as shown below:

Sweeper´s Intro to set a precise intro Song’s Outro

If you want to set the sweeper’s intro, follow the steps below:

- Click the “Play” button;


- Click the “Intro” button right before the singer starts to sing;
If you find necessary to rewind or forward some milliseconds of the intro after you already marked it use the
buttons showed above and do the following: go to back to the intro you marked and click this button several
times. Then click on the Intro button again and check if you found the right spot. In case not,
repeat the process.
The green line showed on the slider indicates the elapsed time.

How to set the song’s outro:

- Click the “Play” button;


- Move the progressive slider until almost the end of the song. Click the “Outro” button when you reach the
desired position.
If you find necessary to rewind or forward some milliseconds of the outro after you already marked it use
the buttons showed above and do the following: go to back to the outro you marked and click this button
several times. Then click on the Intro button again and check if you found the right spot. In
case not, repeat the process.
The green line showed on the slider indicates de remaining time.
Click the slider to move forward on the song.

DELETING A SWEEPER, JINGLE OR ID


Select the sweeper you want to delete and click the Delete button.
Another way of doing it is by right clicking on the sweeper, jingle or ID and then on the Delete
Selected Sweeper button, or by clicking on the menu File  Delete. You will see the following screen:

Click the Yes button to delete the sweeper, jingle or ID.

PRINTING SWEEPER, JINGLE OR ID’S LIST

Click the button Print or press Ctrl + P to print the sweeper’s list.

EXPORTING TO TXT

You can also export your database to a .txt file.


Go to the menu File and click on Export to Txt. You will see the following screen :

Choose the sweeper’s bank, select the sweeper and click on Export. If you want to export all of
them click on All. Then select the folder and click on OK.

IMPORTING FROM TXT

You can also import some data from a .txt file.


Go to the menu File and click on Import from Txt. You will see the following screen :

Select the folder and click on Import.
